A revelation of asking and seeking:

Matt 7:7
"Ask, and it will be given to you, seek and you will find,

And to him who knocks, the door will be opened."

It's not ask, seek and knock a few times...it says that the one who asks and seeks continuously is the one who encounters the open door.

It's ask, seek, ask, seek, ask, seek, ask, seek, ask, seek.....

What's knocking? It's the consistent asking and seeking that is mentioned earlier. When you ask, what you ask for is given. Then you must go find it.

Then after you have asked and sought once, this is the test of faith: How many times will you subsequently ask? How far will you seek?

Psalm 62:8
Trust in Him at ALL times...pour out your hearts to Him, for God is our Refuge.

Psalm 69:29-30
I am in pain and distress; may Your salvation, O GOd, protect me. I will praise God's name in song, and glorify Him with thanksgiving.

Psalm 57
Have mercy on me, O God, have mercy on me, for in You my soul takes refuge. I will take refuge in the shadow of Your wings until the disaster has passed. I cry out to God Most High, to God, Who fulfills His purpose for me. He sends from Heaven and saves me, rebuking those who hotly pursue me; God sends His love and His faithfulness...

Psalm 71:14
But as for me, I will always have hope; I will praise You more and more.
v20: Though You have made me see troubles, many and bitter, You will restore my life again; from the depths of the earth, You will again bring me up. You will increase my honour and comfort me once again.

Lord You satisfy my desires with good things. Though I can't see what You are doing right now and why I have to go through this pain, I will continue to trust in You. I know at the end of the day that You are no man's Debtor. You see my heart's cry, You know my heart's desire, and Your arm is not too short to save and to bless. After this period of discipline, I know You will open the door when the time is right. I will wait upon You, because Your love never fails me.

Psalm 13:2,3,6
How long must I wrestle with my thoughts and every day have sorrow in my heart? Look upon me and answer, O Lord my God. Give light to my eyes...

But I trust in Your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in Your salvation.

I will sing to the Lord, for He has been good to me.

Out of brokenness comes the most powerful prayers, the greatest hope, the deepest understanding of what it is to depend on God. Out of deep brokenness seeds are also birthed that grow into tremendous destiny, because it's during these times that we have nothing left we can lose, but everything we can afford to give away.

1 Cor 8: 1-3
"Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up. The man who thinks he knows something does not yet know as he ought to know. But the man who loves God is known by God."

-In all things, let's not behave according to our knowledge alone, but according to our love for the Lord Jesus Christ. When we act in love, we won't always try to PROVE to others that we are right, but rather let others see a Christ attitude in us that outshines all knowledge. Knowledge without love, knowledge without intimacy with the Father is religion.

Knowing God can never be done with our smartness or intellect. Remember that the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom. What is foolishness equated to sometimes? Simplicity. The simplest way to know someone is to spend time with the person. That is true knowledge.

Sometimes we don't get what we ask for because we come to God with the mentality that what we ask for is too expensive.

Eph 1:3 "Who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in Christ"

v6 "To the praise of His glorious grace"

v18 "that you may know..the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints".

GOD IS GLORIOUSLY RICH!!!!

Ephesians 1:11
"In Him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of Him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of His will".

What an encouraging scripture. Ever felt that you don't know what the will of God is, or that you wish He could just speak to you audibly? Then you should fret no more, because Ephesians 1:11 said that He will bring EVERYTHING into conformity with the purpose of His will. So whatever choice you make, as long as you make it according to the standards of God's word and to honour the Lord, you can be sure that He will always always lead you.

This is the most important thing: Trust in the Lord. Don't try to play God and try meeting His will with your own strength because I can guarantee you 200 % that you will fail. Only God can help us achieve His will for our lives.

How do you trust in the Lord? Spend time with Him.

How do you spend time with Him? Read His word. Pray. Praise Him. Simple.

2 Sam 24:24
"But David replied to Araunahi, "No, I insist on paying you for it. I will not sacrifice to the Lord my God burnt offerings that cost me nothing."

-When we praise God, is it really a sacrifice? Praise doesn't just exist in Church. Praise and worship in church is merely a celebration of a lifestyle of praise. It's easy to praise God in church because the atmosphere is set for us, the music is played for us, the singers lead us, we have the lyrics to tell us what to thank God for.

But do we only wait for the happy moments in order to praise Him, or do we praise Him even when it hurts? Even when it costs us something, even when we don't feel like it, even when we received low marks for our exams, even when we've lost loved ones, even when we face broken dreams?

Do we praise Him when there's no music, no laughter, no friends, no one to tell us how to praise?

Do we still praise Him when it costs us?

"He brought you out of Egypt by His presence and His great strength, to drive out before you nations greater and stronger than you to bring you into their land to give it to you for your inheritance.

-God never leaves us hanging. When He brings us out of something, He's always doing it so that He can bring us into something greater. Though there may be deserts and unpassable seas in between, you can be sure God will bring you where He has purposed to. A bigger inheritance, to enlarge your territory.
